NICK STAHL

As a private acting coach, Director/Producer, Richard Perrin has guided many Dallas actors and assisted them in their transition to Los Angeles including Nick Stahl who co-starred with Mel Gibson in "Man Without a Face" and "In the Bedroom" with Sissy Spacek. Nick starred in "Terminator III" with Arnold Schwarzenegger. "I want to thank you (Richard) for the support, encouragement, and time you've given me. These things have meant alot to me the past years...," - Nick Stahl.

Acting = Fun
by Ellen - Jan 27, 2010

When I first started acting in Dallas, I did not have a clue as to what I was doing. I did what I wanted, and tried too hard to act. By working with Richard,I have greatly improved my acting! He points out what I do correctly, and what I need to improve on.

Dallas Film Acting for a Theater Geek
by Lynette - Jan 18, 2010

I started out in theater and am working to get more comfortable in front of a camera. Fortunately, Richard has also spent hundreds of hours as a stage actor, so he understands where the pitfalls are, what translates well (and what doesn't) on film and how to eliminate the "actiness" to get to an honest performance. He has a wealth of knowledge, makes his TX Actors Studio students think hard and doesn't apologize for his direction. I highly recommend his acting classes for anyone who wants to be able to make mistakes in a safe environment and grow to be a really good actor.

Totally Worth It
by Cid - Dec 23, 2009

Richard has taught me so much it's ridiculous. He teaches acting, but will teach you so much more. He's truly a great teacher, and is very intelligent. He's completely honest with you, and will point out what works and what doesn't, so that you can improve quickly and efficiently. I feel like I learn so much every time I'm in class, whether it's about being in front of or behind the camera. Richard is a great teacher, and is helping me get to where I want to go (professionally acting in Dallas).

The art of acting without acting
by Rick - Oct 20, 2007

Being the character is what acting is all about, and Richard is great at teaching a person to do this. Within a couple of months after starting his class, I was auditioning for films in Dallas and landing rolls. I could not of done it without the training I received at Texas Actors Studio.

A Real Experience
by Katy - Nov 19, 2009

Richard has been one acting coach that isn't afraid to tell you the truth whether it be good or bad. He is very good at showing you your strengths and letting you know your weaknesses so that you can practice and improve. You get a one on one and a group acting class which both benefit you in different but great ways. He has helped me make my dream unfold into a reality.

Think like the Character!
by Spencer - ?Dec 17, 2009

Texas Actor's Studio is great. Richard Perrin helped me get my start in the acting world. I came to his studio having no experience whatsoever, but within a 6 months of classes I had gotten my first leading role in a short film in Dallas, and within a year I had an agent! Richard meets you at your level and lays the foundation for you to become as good an actor as you wanna be. Just come with an open mind, be willing to listen and learn, and practice, practice, practice!. Richard will teach you everything you need to know to get your acting career in Dallas started today!
